Fizemos uma pergunta incisiva para o PMI, conforme abaixo e vejam as resposta que recebemos. Assim, nem mesmo quem falhar na primeira tentativa poderá fazer o exame na 3a. edição após 01/07. (a validade é de um ano, porem, após 1/07 será com a 4a. edição) desde que não haja outro comunicado de mudança do PMI. PERGUNTA FEITA PELA CPLAN AO PMI. Question. If your get a professional qualification and pay the examination and receive a letter of eligibility from PMI until 06/30/2009, which guide our student are will submit PMBOK-2004 as a reference or study PMBOK 2008? Remember the exam validate time. ANSWER: Please be advised that as of 1 July 2009, the PMP exam will based on the 4th edition of the PMBOK® Guide. Until 30 June 2009, the PMP exam will based on the 3rd edition. Therefore, any exam scheduled and taken prior to 1 July 2009 will still be based on the 3rd edition. However, if an applicant fails the exam prior to 1 July 2009 and then takes it again after 30 June 2009, the exam will based on the 4th edition. There is no grace period or grandfather clause available in such instances. To further clarify the upcoming changes with the updated standards, I have attached a FAQ document for your review.
